Table etiquettes
Table etiquettes
It was a really nice experience, Sarasi madam has organized
and important session to teach us about the table etiquettes and how to be in a
formal event. It was an awesome experience that we got and we had a welcome
drink, lunch and dessert but we had all of these things as we were in a formal
event.
The first session was about how to wear properly to a formal
session. The head of the department of food and beverages taught us how to
properly wear for such event he advised us to
- · Wear long sleeve shirts and match the shirt color with the trousers
- · Wear a tie and don’t have decorative knots just use an simple knot, tie should be up to your waist.
- · If we wear a tie pin it should be exactly 2.5” bellow the knot
- · If we wear a coat we should button off when we seat and we should button up when we get up
- · If we need to greet someone we should stand up first and give a firm hand and look into his/her eyes. If the hand shaker is girl hugging is not a exactly good thing in south Asian countries and Arab
In the 2nd session we learnt how to behave in a
table. We got to know how the table is arrange in a formal table and what tool
should be used first and what should be used last, for what purpose those
things are placed there. How to pass the bread around the table and how to use
tooth picks. We learnt a lot of things from the lecturer and it was really
suprising that these much of things should be followed in the formal table.

In the 3rd session it was delicious we got a
chance to taste grilled chicken and a really good desert we had a real hotel
exposure.
